OREANDA-NEWS. August 6, 2010. Transaero Airlines announces the launch of new, regular scheduled flights from Moscow to Hong Kong, in line with its strategy to expand its international route network. In the launch phase, the service will operate weekly with Boeing 777 aircraft with seats available for Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class passengers. Due to high cruise speed the time of flight from Moscow to Hong Kong will take less than 9 hours.

Flight UN967 will depart from Moscow Domodedovo International Airport every Friday at 9:00 pm and arrive at Hong Kong International Airport at 9:55 am the following day. The return flight, UN968, will depart from Hong Kong every Saturday at 11:25 am and arrive in Moscow at 5:15 pm (all times provided are local).

On Transaero's MoscowHong Kong route a special offer is being made to Business and Premium Economy Class passengers. Passengers purchasing Business class tickets will be accommodated in Imperial class with its first class service and luxury seats reclining 180 degrees into lie-flat beds at not extra cost. As well as Premium Economy Class passengers will enjoy Transaero’s Business class service at no additional cost. This special offer is valid until 30 October 2010.

In addition to increasing the number of destinations in China, Transaero has added another weekly flight on its MoscowBeijing route beginning from 1 August 2010. Flight UN865 will depart from Moscow Domodedovo International Airport every Sunday at 11:15 am and arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport (Terminal 3) at 10:10 pm. The return flight, UN866, will depart from Beijing every Monday at 12:40 am and arrive in Moscow at 4:20 am. Transaero will operate Boeing 747-400 aircraft on the route. The additional weekly service has been added in response to customer demand. Just two months after the carrier’s first-ever flight to this destination, the seat load factor regularly exceeds 90%.

Launching its service to Hong Kong as well as increasing the frequency of flights to Beijing marks another step forward for Transaero Airlines in the realisation of its long standing plans to expand the carrier’s presence in Asia and develop operations to and from all major global airports.
