OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010.  On August 23, Siberia Airlines is to resume regular flight connection with Georgia, interrupted after the 2008 war. Russia and Georgia broke diplomatic relations and stopped direct regular flights after the 5-day war in South Ossetia in August 2008.

Now, the Federal Air Transport Agency has permitted Siberia Airlines, operating under the S7 Airlines brand, to resume regular flights to Georgia on par with Georgian Airlines. Siberia is to perform three flights a week from the Moscow Domodedovo airport to Tbilisi. After air connection between the two countries recovers in full, Siberia may also arrange for regular flights to Kutaisi and Batumi.
