OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010.  The Belarusian oil refineries are soon expected to increase refining depth to 92%, according to Belarus’ energy strategy through 2020. The text of the document approved by Council of Ministers’ Resolution No 1180 is available at the national legal portal.

In 2009 the Mozyr Oil Refinery processing depth was 70%, Naftan’s – 73%. The increased processing depth will help the companies improve the quality of their products, meet the EU requirements.

This year Naftan plans to install a delayed cocker unit with the total capacity of 1.6 million tonnes under the license of the Foster Wheeler firm (Spain). The oil refinery is completing the reconstruction of its desulfurization and hydrofining units and a flux processing vacuum unit of 1.6 million tonnes in capacity. The funds for investment projects will make up Br4.1 trillion, including Br2.7 trillion of loans. The plant’s processing plant will rise to 92%.

The Mozyr Oil Refinery plans to construct a hydrocracker unit for black oil fuel with the total capacity of 3 million tonnes under the license of Axens, France. The funds for investment projects will stand at Br3.4 trillion, with Br2 trillion of loans. The processing depth at the plant will reach 90%.
