OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010.  Red Sormovo Plant OJSC is going to launch on Aug. 31 the river-sea going oil tanker. The Dzheykhun was built by the order of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan, TURKMENISTAN.RU reports.

Red Sormovo won the tanker contract worth USD 17 million in international tender in April. The Jeykhun will be the third ship built by a Russian shipbuilder for the merchant fleet of Turkmenistan.

Red Sormovo Plant had completed earlier a two tankers project worth USD 31 million. In 2009, the large-tonnage Sumbar and Khazar, capable to carry six kinds of petroleum products at a time, docked at the port of Turkmenbashi city.
