OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2010.  UTair Aviation continues to demonstrate significant growth. For the first seven months of 2010 the airline transported 2,590,923 passengers, 42.5% more than in the same period for the previous year and higher than the industry average growth index for the period which stands at 28.3%.

Passenger turnover increased 51.8% and constituted 4,515,493.2 passenger-kilometers against the industry average of 34.1%. The airline's seat load factor increased 3.5 points to achieve a cumulative average of 77%. The airline’s aircraft logged 99,048 flight hours, 30.6% more than for the same period last year.

UTair’s helicopter division has also demonstrated significant growth. In the first seven months of 2010, the company's helicopters transported a total of 237,760 passengers, 29% more than for the same period in 2009. The total flight hours logged by UTair helicopters grew 19.6%.

According to the UTair operational forecast for 2010, the airline's planes and helicopters will have logged a total of 300,000 flight hours. More than 100 aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes will be involved in realization of the company’s operations program. In 2010, the airline expects to serve more than 4.8 million passengers, 34% more than in 2009. Helicopter operations in Russia and eleven foreign countries are expected to see an annual increase of 3.8%.
