OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2010. Today all plants and production units of KAMAZ started working again after the personnel’s monthly corporative paid leave.

After the summer holiday, KAMAZ’s employees will have to work hard. Only in September, they will have to produce and deliver 3582 vehicle sets to customers, corporate clients, dealers, special equipment manufacturers and assembly enterprises abroad. It should be recalled that KAMAZ produced 20278 vehicle sets for seven months of work before the corporative vacation.

KAMAZ’s sales, leasing, production scheduling and preproduction departments didn’t stop working in August. Units engaged in repairs of process equipment and maintenance of production facilities worked in August as well. The monthly recess enabled them to maintain and modernize several large manufacturing entities during their process cycle, as well as to prepare production for winter.

Special attention was paid to preparation for the launch of the Mayak (Beacon) project developed jointly with Daimler, one of the world’s leading truck producers and KAMAZ’s strategic partner. This system of organization and management of production processes is implemented in accordance with the agreement signed by KAMAZ and its German partner. The introduced changes concern first of all the vehicle assembly production, and they will enable to increase vehicle output volumes on one line of the assembly conveyor to 48 thousand units a year by double-shift operation. The second line of the mother gathering conveyor will be free for assembly of modernized vehicles and production of a new model line.
