Siemens Presents Its PLM Solutions at Khrunichev Space Center
OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2010. Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and services, made a presentation of their program of PLM-based innovative changes at the Khrunichev State-run Space Research and Production Center (KhSC) of Moscow, reported the press-centre of Khrunichev Space Center.
The presentation at the Proton Business Hotel was attended by Vasily Sychev, First Deputy General Director, KhSC, alongside the company’s experts and the management of KhSC affiliated companies.
The Siemens team was headed by Steffen Buchwald, Vice President and Managing Director, Central and Eastern Europe, Siemens PLM Software. Taking part in the meeting was also Victor Bespalov, Director General, Siemens PLM Software’s Russia and CIS Office, along with other Siemens representatives.
Siemens experts disclosed particulars of the uniform process they use to introduce the integrated PLM system. They described their practical experience of the implementation of PLM solutions worldwide including manufacturing companies in the Russian aerospace industry.
In the wake of Siemens’s presentation, KhSC have expressed their willingness to go on, being supported by Siemens, with the implementation of the Siemens/KhSC joint project aimed at the deployment of PLM business processes in the various areas of KhSC production operations.
Siemens PLM Software in December 2009 announced that Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center selected Siemens PLM Software’s comprehensive PLM system. The system will help the company reduce development and production launch times for new products and modifications.
