OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2010. The total number of passengers transported by Air Moldova airline from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg to Europe and back, for first 8 months of 2010 is 5940 people, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

This service was possible because of implementation of through fares on Air Moldova flights from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg to European capitals. This fact generate new type of passengers – transfer passengers, inexistent before not only for Air Moldova, but on entire Moldavian air transportation market. Passengers can enjoy not only very attractive level of prices for these fares, but also the commodity of the connection in International Airport Chisinau (minimum connection time is 35min) that became a transit hub.

Directions with highest number of transfer passengers are Moscow-Milan-Moscow (33%), Moscow-Rome-Moscow (21%), Moscow-Istanbul-Moscow (20%), and Moscow-Lisbon-Moscow (8%).
