OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2010.Till the end of the year Rosatom will approve of the updated version of Russian nuclear industry development strategy

This information was provided by Deputy General Director of the State Corporation Nikolay Solomon.
“Technically, the strategy was approved early in 2008, however it is changed every year. The basic changes relate to a more precise objective setting for a medium-term (till 2015) and long-term (till 2030) prospective,” Solomon said after his speech at London symposium of the World Nuclear Association.

According to him, Rosatom is planning to complete the development of another strategy version till the end of the year. “The strategy cannot make no headway,” Solomon said.

He marked that the document was a part of strategic corporate planning and was not directly relevant to governmental plans, however, some directions within that strategy were to be approved by the supervisory board.

Solomon added that Rosatom’s long-term and medium-term plans, which were particularly related to new plant construction, might significantly expand provided that the intensions remained aggressive.

Answering the question, connected with parameters of Rosatom projects’ Government Financing, Solomon said that it was too early to speak about those parameters and the general governmental position would be determined only in two months.
