OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2010.According to the decision of the investment commission of TVEL Fuel Company in the IVth quarter of 2010 Tochmash VPO will supply an additional consignment of gas centrifuges to Urals Integrated Electrochemical Plant OJSC and Electrochemical Plant PO.

The new order moved the amount of work, performed by production team No.4, closer to the level of 2009. Lately the enterprise authorities informed TVEL FC about the insufficient amount of orders for Tochmash VPO primary production for the end of 2010. And now the decision is taken.

In October-December the plant shall produce some extra hundreds of gas centrifuges for separation plants of Zelenogorsk and Novouralsk. At the moment the industrial plants are implementing the modernization program.

“For this purpose additional centrifuges were ordered at Tochmash,” Head of Gas Centrifuge Production Department of Tochmash VPO Plavukhin P.I. comments. “It is a large support for us, in the nearest time the personnel will be busy with work by almost 100%.”

According to the Head of Gas Centrifuge Production, the new order had also a positive impact on personnel psychological climate, “Of course, it stirred people with optimism. Now they are completely busy with work and can look in the near future with confidence. Let us hope that in future Tochmash will also have maximally sufficient amount of orders for its main product – gas centrifuges for the nuclear power industry,” he says.

Apart from this order, Tochmash continues its scheduled supplies of gas centrifuges to separation integrated plants of Siberia and Ural. The latest product shipment was held in the end of September, the next one is planned for October. And on November 26, a shipment of a development batch of new generation aggregates to Urals Integrated Electrochemical Plant will be held.

These products will be immediately assembled and put into trial operation, which will last till the end of November 2011. According to the results of the test, there will be made a decision on putting of new generation centrifuges into serial production.
