OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2010.Federal Tariff Service (FTS of Russia) in its decision on 23 September has approved new rates for loading and unloading operations and storage of goods at the Port Sochi Imeretinsky LLC, increasing by 15 percent the handling service fees on the whole range of cargos, the FTS press service said.

The decision was made based on the data provided by the stevedoring company and on the instructions of Vice-Premier Dmitry Kozak. The tariffs adopted by the Board of the FTS of Russia come into effect in due course.

Earlier, FTS had published a draft order on tariffs of the Port Sochi Imeretinsky stevedoring company.

Port of Sochi Imeretinsky LLC (managed by Basic Element) was established in 2007 to develop project documentation, construction and operation of the cargo area of the port of Sochi in the estuary of Mzymta river. The port capacity allow handling up to 5 million tons annually to provide construction materials delivered for Olympic facilities in Sochi. According to the stevedoring company, several berths have started operating with the first phase throughput capacity at 2 million tons.
