OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2010. Upstream specialists summed up the applications of oilfield service companies for participation in the award program announced several months ago. The purpose of this program is to reward the contractors demonstrating high professionalism and adherence to the key values of TNK-BP – efficiency, innovation, quality, industrial safety, and environmental protection, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

Apart from that, the program makes it possible to compare and assess the unique projects that have made a significant contribution to improvement of performance indicators of Upstream.

More than 40 applications were submitted for participation in the program from companies providing their services to TNK-BP in the following fields: drilling, sidetracking, cementing and water influx isolation, hydraulic fracturing, current and capital workover, matrix bottom-hole treatment, completion and workover fluids, and drilling mud. Winners will be chosen in the following nominations: most efficient project, most technologically advanced contractor, company with fastest growing efficiency, and contractor with best control and quality assurance results.

The contest committee has already chosen finalists in each nomination. The names of winners and laureates will be announced at the award ceremony, which will be held in November.
