OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2010. DTEK, Ukraine’s leading fuel and energy company, today announces the appointment of Alexander Tolkach as Director of External Affairs. DTEK’s external affairs directorate encompasses four divisions: public relations, investor relations, international affairs and corporate social responsibility.
 
Before joining DTEK, Tolkach was Director of the External Affairs Department at Mechel (NYSE:MTL), the Russian industrial group, with operations in the mining, metallurgy, ferroalloy and energy sectors.
 
Commenting on Alexander’s appointment, Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK, said:

Alexander Tolkach was born in 1977.  He graduated in 1999 from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia with a degree in International Relations.  From 1999 to 2004 he served in the diplomatic service in a Division of NATO, the EAPC and the WEU's of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and later he was an Attachй at the Permanent Mission of Russia to the OSCE (Vienna, Austria). From 2004 he worked at Mechel, where he progressed from PR manager to director of external relations department.
