OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2010. Ukraine uses the Estonian experience in reform. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at working lunch with the Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Ene Ergma on the official visit to the Republic of Estonia.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed that Estonia has made a significant step in the "family of European nations" and held radical reform during 20 years.

"We want to repeat this way: you got rid of chaos, have reached stability. We are disappointed of how much our country has lost in 20 years. Therefore, we are fully committed to reform and will use the Estonian experience" - Mykola Azarov said. He added that Ukraine is interested in particular in the study of Estonia's experience in implementing e-government and tax reform.

According to the Prime Minister, to update the economy of Ukraine it is necessary covering 10 years to allocate 1 trillion USD. Mykola Azarov noted that Ukraine has created attractive investment climate in Europe and invited the Estonian businesses to invest in our country. In particular, the promising areas for cooperation, according to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, are energy, transport, high technology and IT development.

The Head of Ukrainian Government stressed the need to increase the trade and economic cooperation between our countries. “The volume of our trade and economic cooperation is about 0.5 billion dollars. There are prospects that it could be much more"- he said.

Mykola Azarov noted that the meeting took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

In turn, the speaker of the Parliament of Estonia said that the visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister is the first time covering 14 years. She said that Estonia is ready to develop bilateral cooperation with Ukraine: "We have good relations, especially in the economy. We have to be developed. "
