OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2010. The International Newsmedia Marketing Association and Online Publishers Association Europe have organized a conference dedicated to media sector development. Being a major player in Ukrainian media market, SCM took part in the event.

The conference held in Krakow (Poland) addressed a number of important issues in line with its motto "Changes, Inspiration, Innovations". The delegates discussed new approaches and technologies in news media, changes in media expenditure pattern, current preferences of advertisers and developments in the advertising market.

The conference brought together 300 media sector representatives from all over the world: senior managers of media companies, publishers, editors-in-chief, advertising agents and others. Along with panel sessions discussing the issues of common interest (for example, recovery from the recession), there were specific workshops focused on challenges of particular mass media types.

SCM was represented at the conference by Yekaterina Lapshina, Director of Media Business Development. "SCM is interested in further development of media business as its importance for the Group is constantly growing. Even today our media show good results, but we want to become even stronger and more effective, to establish ourselves as a leader and maintain leadership in all areas of activity. To achieve such ambitious goals, our TV channels, print and Internet media should not just have up-to-date equipment, but also operate in compliance with progressive global trends and practices. The conference has generated a lot of new and interesting ideas, whose implementation will make our media assets even more successful," believes Yekaterina Lapshina.
