OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2010.   Power Machines OJSC and RUP Vitebskenergo (Belarus) have signed a contract for the manufacture and supply of equipment for upgrading of the third power unit of the Lukomlskaya SDPP.

In accordance with the terms of the contract, Power Machines OJSC will design, manufacture and supply to the station equipment to upgrade the flow part of the steam turbine high-pressure cylinder with power of 300 MW, the automatic governing system and the automatic vibration monitoring and diagnostics system. In addition, power engineering specialists of the company will provide installation supervision services and participate in commissioning of the equipment supplied.

Upon the upgrade, the turbine power will be increased by 6 MW, and its rated capacity will reach 327 MW.

The equipment delivery will be completed in February 2011; installation supervision works will start in the second quarter of 2011. The start of the upgraded power unit No. 3 of the Lukomlskaya SDPP is scheduled for autumn 2011. The contract value amounts to USD 7 mln.

The contract between Power Machines OJSC and Vitebskenergo, extending the cooperation between the companies, was signed as part of the project for technical upgrade of the Lukomlskaya SDPP, in progress since 2002. The work program involves replacing all worn-out equipment, including flow parts of steam turbines. Power Machines OJSC have earlier manufactured and supplied equipment for the upgrade of the three (out of eight) power units (Nos. 1, 2, 4) of the Lukomlskaya SDPP.
