OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2010. General Director of Rosatom State Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko announced this information during his speech at MEPhI NRNU lecture.

He said that power units of Leningrad NPP-2, Rostov NPP, Novovoronezh NPP-2 and Beloyarsk NPP would be the first ones to be commissioned in Russia. When speaking about foreign projects, the Head of Rosatom noted that they were finishing the construction of two Kundakulam NPP power units in India and had signed a contract on four more power units; there had also been allocated a site for six power units’ construction and negotiations on one more site for six power units were being held.

Contracts with China (where two Tainwan NPP power units have already been constructed) have been concluded for construction of four more power units: the second stage of Tainwan NPP and two power units with BN-800 fast neutron reactors. “At the end of October, during RF President’s visit to Vietnam, an agreement on two NPP power units construction will be signed,” S.Kirienko said and added that negotiations on two more power units were being held. In addition, the contracts for construction of one Armenian, four Turkish and two Ukrainian power units have been signed. The construction of Belorussian NPP is discussed, negotiations of two power units’ construction are held with Argentina and with Venezuela. Moreover, Russia has perspectives in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, where tenders are and will be held.
