OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2010. Talks between representatives of Russian, French and Italian financial institutions and line ministries over financing the supplies of Sukhoi Superjet aircraft to foreign customers were held at Vnesheconombank.

Representatives of Vnesheconombank, Italy’s export credit agency SACE, France’s export credit agency COFACE, the French Finance Ministry, the Russian Finance Ministry, the Russian Economic Development Ministry, Finmeccanica S.p.A., the Sukhoi Company (OJSC) and the Russian-Italian joint venture SuperJet International S.p.A. participated in the talks.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed various schemes for financing the supplies of Sukhoi Superjet aircraft to foreign customers against insurance coverage of the said export credit agencies. As a result of the talks the parties decided to go ahead with correlating two main financing schemes at great length to subsequently implement them in the course of supplying Sukhoi Superjet aircraft on Vnesheconombank’s proposed principles.

For the first time a similar meeting proposed by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (CJSC) was organized by Vnesheconombank in April of 2008. These meetings are held to build on the Trilateral Statement signed earlier between Vnesheconombank, France’s export credit agency COFACE and Italy’s, Italy’s export credit agency SACE. The Trilateral Statement was designed to create an integrated system of financing international sales of Sukhoi Superjet 100 family aircraft. The parties agreed to hold another meeting till the end of the year to formalize the agreements reached.
