OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2010. Meeting of Supervisory Board of ATFBank took place, during which Alexander Picker, who held the position of CEO of ATFBank for the last three years, offered his resignation and the Board accepted it, reported the press-centre of KASE.

"After 17 years of working abroad, including three years in Kazakhstan, I am going back to Austria. 17 years abroad is the serious period for international manager. That is why, having received the proposal from Group, I decided to accept it and offered my resignation on Supervisory Board Meeting on October 21st, a bit earlier than it was planned. I regret to leave the bank and team. I think that having passed the most difficult period, Bank will now enter into the growth phase.  Bank has plans and good prospective. I consider my work in Kazakhstan important and interesting stage in my career. I and UniCredit management still positively assess the long-term investment in Kazakhstan and see good perspectives for Bank", - said Mr. Picker.

The Supervisory Board of ATFBank appointed Romeo Collina as new CEO of the Bank. Mr. Collina started his banking career in Banco di Roma in 1981.  During his career he held different roles in all banking business sphere like Retail, Investment and Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Treasury and Debt Capital Market, Credit Risk Management, for Italian and foreign networks. Mr. Collina had worked in Rome, London, New York and Chicago during 26 years of
experience in Banco di Roma. In 2007, Romeo Collina became the Head of International Markets Department in Unicredit Banca di Roma. In 2008 Mr. Collina took the position of Head Regional Management CEE Retail in Bank Austria. At the same time, he was the member of Supervisory Board of ATFBank since summer 2009.

Romeo Collina is World Champion in water polo of year 1978 and member of Italian Olympic Team of Olympic games in Moscow 1980 and Los Angeles 1984. He is married and has son and daughter.

When considering the candidacy of the new CEO, several skills were taken into account, such as strong leadership, capacity of teambuilding, excellent understanding of financial services, organizational skills and deep knoweledge of the company structure and banking business. The Supervisory Board came to the unanimous conclusion that Mr. Collina met all the criteria above named, making him the best person to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of ATFBank.
