OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2010. UTair Aviation continues to demonstrate significant growth. For the period January-September 2010 the airline transported 3,417,607 passengers, 33.8% more than for the same reporting period in 2009. Industry average growth for the period stands at 26.9%.

Passenger turnover increased 44%, constituting 6,119,916.6 PKM. The industry average for the period is 31.2%. UTair seat occupancy also increased 78.4% to reach 6.5 points. The airline’s fixed wing fleet logged 2,562 flight hours, 86.9% more than in the same period of last year.

UTair’s helicopter division has also demonstrated significant growth for the January – July reporting period: in the first nine months of 2010 UTair helicopters transported 51,144 passengers, 18.5% more than for the same period last year. UTair helicopters logged over 68,629 flights hours, a 20.5% increase over last year.
