OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. The Ingosstrakh branch in Volgograd paid 9.6 mln rubles to S.M. Topala peasant farm enterprise located in Kotelnikovsky district of the Volgograd region, to compensate the damage to winter wheat crop caused by draught.

The winter wheat of Stanichnaya grade on a total area of 4,634 ha is insured against crop failure or partial loss for the total amount of 44.1 rubles.

The insured event was an air and soil draught, which resulted in partial crop loss. Ingosstrakh settled the claim and paid the full insurance indemnity to the farm.

The insured property was pledged to Volgograd regional branch of Rosselkhozbank to secure a loan.

Ingosstrakh and the peasant farm enterprise have been cooperating since 2009. The director of the S.M. Topala peasant farm enterprise comments: “Today our enterprise is one of the most successful and promising in Kotelnikovsky district of the Volgograd region. What is even more important is that we have learnt to practice agriculture as a business and insure our risks. Cooperating with Ingosstrakh we experienced that the crops and the harvest are under reliable coverage.”
