OREANDA-NEWS. October 27, 2010. The managers of the company and its subdivisions met with young specialists who had been employed during the year at KAMAZ.

180 new employees of KAMAZ met with the managers of the plants and departments – Yury Gerasimov, Director General of KAMAZ-Diesel; Vladimir Abramov, Head of KAMAZ-Metallurgy; Ildus Bayanov, Director of Automobile Plant; and Danis Valeev, Design Manager, Director of Research and Development Center of KAMAZ. The specialists of the enterprises familiarized the new workers with production departments and exhibits of factory museums.

In the course of the meetings, the KAMAZ young workers learned about the company’s current programs for young specialists. Employees under 30 years form a quarter of the whole personnel that is 11.7 thousand people, over 8 thousand of them are factory workers. This July, a new program named “The Youth” was approved. Like a program of strategic development of the whole company, it is planned for the next three years. 7 specialists and 32 volunteers develop the youth movement at KAMAZ. During the last years, young KAMAZ workers participated in many All-Russian and republican forums and competitions: “Engineer of the Year”, “50 Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan”, “Seliger-2010”, etc. Many of them were awarded titles of laureates and diplomas there.

KAMAZ has always supported and will support initiative, talented and creative young people. The company regularly organizes corporate contests for the youth. The KAMAZ young people’s 11 completed and 11 realized projects have already yielded an economic effect to the tune of almost 4 million roubles; it’s planned to bring the economic effect up to 5 million roubles by the end of 2010. The amount of compensation for these projects made 590 thousand roubles. The labor contract of OJSC KAMAZ for 2009-2010 assigns social safeguards and benefits for its young workers and provides for a considerable sum of money to organize cultural and recreative sports events.

The Youth Day at KAMAZ was closed by a meeting with Director General Sergey Kogoghin which lasted more than an hour. The issues discussed there mainly concerned development and prospects of both KAMAZ as a whole and specifically each plant and subdivision. According to the top manager, “KAMAZ has a promising future, and those who join us will contribute to a worthy and large-scale business”, and these words obviously inspired the young people.
