OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2010. JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” summarized its production performance for 9M 2010: generation of electric energy and productive supply of thermal energy increased by 18% and 5.1% respectively as compared to the same period of 2009.

For the first three quarters of 2010, the company’s production branches generated 8744 mln. kWh of electric energy – an increase of 18% over the same period last year. Amount of electric energy grid output totalled 7673 mln. kWh, amount of sales – to 8,248.8 mln. kWh.

In 9M 2010, productive supply of thermal energy with all the branches of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” equalled to 9,289,000 Gcal, which makes a growth of 5.1% as compared to the same period of the previous year.

Following the results of the first three quarters of 2010, electric energy generation amounts exceeded those demonstrated in 2009, while supply of electric energy slightly decreased. Generally, the results for the first nine months of 2010 show stabilization of energy demand and gradual step-up in industrial production.

Augmentation of thermal energy supply in 2010 can be attributed to an increase in thermal resource consumption by housing and utility organizations and industrial enterprises. In the beginning of the year, abnormally low temperatures were registered. Also, due to low temperature range in May as compared to annual average temperatures a heating season terminated nineteen days later than it was expected.

During the first three quarters of 2010 the company sold 3411.3 mln. kWh of electric energy under regulated contracts. It succeeded in selling 4309 mln. kWh of electric energy in the day-ahead market while the amount of sales in the balancing market totalled 336.2 mln. kWh. During the first nine-month period of 2010 purchase of electric energy in the day-ahead and balancing markets amounted to 424.8 mln. kWh and 245.4 mln. kWh accordingly.

During 9M 2010 electric energy was sold mostly in the day-ahead market. This fact is explained by a high degree of the Wholesale Power Market liberalization, which attained a level of 80% in the second half of the year.
