OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2010. Abakan CHP has completed preparedness for operation during the 2010 / 2011 autumn / winter season. The Commission chaired by Head Officer of the Process Control Service of JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13” Mikhail Zaripov included representatives of the Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (RosTekhNadzor) and the Khakassia Regional Dispatching Office (RDO). The Commission concluded that the plant is fully prepared for operation under autumn / winter conditions.

The keynote conclusion of the Commission was as follows: having complied with the basic and additional conditions provided for in the Regulations on Review of Energy Enterprises Preparedness for Operation during the 2010 / 2011 Autumn / Winter Season, Abakan CHP is legible for receipt of a Certificate of Preparedness for the autumn / winter season. Decision on issue of the latter is taken based on estimate of the equipment preparedness to carry the specified thermal and electrical load: works on the program of the repair campaign are mostly completed, overhaul of turbine PT-60/130 and generator TVF-63 (both units being No. 1 at the plant) proceeds as scheduled and is to be over in the first decade of December; coal reserve available at the stockhouse is as prescribed by the applicable regulations.

Apart from engineering aspects one reviewed the Abakan CHP personnel preparedness for prompt containment and elimination of consequences of an emergency situation under the conditions of a low ambient air temperature. For this purpose one arranged a training drill taken part in by the plant on-duty personnel jointly with fire brigades, rescuers of the Mine Rescue Brigades Authority and the enterprise security guards. The emergency drill of the plant personnel for preparedness for action under extreme conditions was organized to a high standard, the final grade being “good”.
