OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2010. Kriukiv plant, the major Ukrainian railcar producer, intends to launch a new assembly shop to produce passenger cars by 2012, according to the announcement by the company CEO Volodymyr Prykhodko Nov 9. The estimated workshop capacity is to 200 passenger cars p.a.

Millennium Capital considers the news as POSITIVE for KVBZ. Millennium Capital supposes the company has set its sights on creating a joint venture with the Hyundai Corporation (South Korea) to assemble high-speed trains in Ukraine. As has been reported earlier, six trains are likely to be supplied by Hyundai before the start of the Euro 2012 and four more trains will be supplied by the end of 2012. Opportunity to participate in the project will allow KVBZ to expand its market share and provide high-yielding cars on the CIS region markets.
