DTEK and Wind Power LLC Implements Joint Project
OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2010. Wind Power LLC is looking for a company on competitive basis to develop a joint implementation project for construction of 200 MW Botievo wind farm and invites price quotations.
Wind Power LLC implements a project portfolio for construction of onshore wind farms with the total capacity of 1,200 MW on the coast of the Sea of Azov. The pilot project of Botievo wind farm construction will be implemented as a joint implementation project which after commissioning it will lead to annual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 551 thousand tons of CO2.
Joint implementation is a market-based mechanism which in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol allows industrialized countries to jointly develop projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
