OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2010. Dragon Capital, a leading investment bank in Ukraine, acted as the Lead Partner at the flagship exhibition on the Ukrainian stock market, INVESTFUNDS & INternet TRADING EXPO–2010: Trading Tools for Private Investors. Its organizers, the Ukrainian Exchange (UX) and C-bonds Group, reported a high attendance of 3,000 people during the two days of the exhibition held in the Ukrainsky Dom on 2 Khreschatyk Street in Kyiv.

Dragon Capital, as the Lead Partner, capitalized on the opportunity to extend investment advice to prospective clients and contribute to raising their awareness of trading tools available on the domestic stock market. Company representatives emphasized the rapidly growing popularity of online trading among Ukrainians, as well as came up with all-around presentations on collective investment funds, giving valuable insights for all levels of investors, ranging from beginners to most advanced traders who prefer more sophisticated techniques such as trading on margin.

“Today stock market participants face the key task of developing the local market and delivering high quality services, along with diversified products, for private investors. The increase in customer base will contribute significantly to stock market stability and boost trading volumes. This will enhance the capacity of the Ukrainian exchange to serve as a real platform for domestic corporate issuers, both in stock or bonds, and for more sophisticated derivate instruments, luring more local and foreign investors. These developments are closely linked: the more companies go public on the local stock exchange, the higher trading volume will be, which naturally leads to higher market capitalization for traded shares. This exhibition, among other initiatives of Dragon Capital, provides strong evidence for the need to promote local investment opportunities among a wider population. We are determined to continue our effort to provide access to the stock market for a greater number of people in Ukraine”, said Andriy Dmytrenko, Director of Equity Sales and Retail Business Development at Dragon Capital, during the press conference on the occasion of the exhibition’s opening.
