OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2010. Companies subordinate to the Agriculture Ministry attracted USD 28 million in foreign investments in January-September 2010, compared with only USD 20 million in 2009, a representative in the ministry told.

Foreign investment lines have been used in 2010 to finance equipment purchases for Gomelkhlebprom (Russian Promsvyazbank loan), Vitebskkhlebprom and Borisovkhlebprom (Italian Popolare di Vicenza SPA loans), Vitebskkhlebprom (Austrian Raiffeisen Zentralbank Oesterreich AG loan), OJSC  Zhabinka KKZ (Danish Danske Bank A/S loan), OJSC  Brestkhleboprodukt (Polish BRE BANK.S.A. loan).

Companies subordinate to the ministry plan to attract up to USD 50 million in investments from Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Canada, and Belgium.
