OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2010. At the Gubkin mine of KMAruda Works, the latest chamber—the 13th this year—has been commissioned: Chamber 11/1. This chamber is smaller compared with the others; it is a single-crossheading chamber with industrial reserves of 150 thousand tonnes of ferruginous quartzite.

The chamber is 30 meters long, 30 meters wide, and 60 meters high. Quartzites will be supplied to the hole, from where it will proceed to section No. 1 of the crushing and preparation plant. By the end of 2010, two more chambers will be commissioned at the mine in accordance with the production plan.
