OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2010. Totally, 225 scholar buses are monitored by GLONASS in the region. The buses carry children from distant settlements, up to 200 km away from the school. In winter, GLONASS monitoring is essential due to bad weather which may worsen road situation, M2M Telematica informs.

Special SW CyberWeb® maintains acquisition of the data about bus motion in real time by dispatcher centers in the regional Ministry of Education. GLONASS will help not only to control school transport status, but to avoid improper but usage.

The region intends to purchase 41 more GLONASS’ed buses in 2010—2011.
