OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2010. CJSC Katavsky Tsement’s increased production performance in 2010 has been attained by the plant’s professional team and also in great measure contributed to by the sustainable high quality of Katavsky cement representing nearly 48% of the sales market in the Chelyabinsk Region.

Over the 9 months of 2010 the plant has dispatched 708,286 tons of cement which is 207 957 tons more than the same period in the previous year. The nine-month production totals 686,777 tons of cement.

 It should be noted that the targets for marl crushing and clinker production have been topped by 8.3% and 2.3% respectively. Therefore, CJSC Katavsky Tsement has produced 10,967 tons of clinker and 58,366 tons of marl on top of target.

By putting into operation a Czech-made electric precipitator in 2010 the plant has made a significant step towards environmental improvement in the Chelyabinsk Region. This unit has helped improve the environment in and around the plant and in the plant’s home town of Katav-Ivanovsk. Now dust emission levels from kiln No. 1 where the precipitator is installed are in line with the relevant European sanitary standards. The plant has reduced its emission footprint by 24%.

It should be noted that in 2010 CJSC Katavsky Tsement’s products earned an expert certification for quality. TSEM II/A-SH 32.5 B cement has was granted the All-Russia Golden Quality Award (III millennium). 21th Century Quality Award. TSEM II/A-SH 32.5 N and TSEM I 42.5 N graded was given All-Russia Grade Silver Award (III millennium)/21st Quality Award.

In addition, JSC Rosfinprom’s statistics and expert review department has granted the plant the certificate certifying that the portland cement containing additions of TSEM II/A-SH 32.5 cement produced by the plant is put on the official list of the 100 Top Products in the Ural Federal District.
