OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2010. Agro-enterprises of SAHO Group of Companies, located at Novosibirsk region and Altay Territory, completed grain harvest without delays and losses.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions the grain harvest on SAHO Siberian farmland ranged from 9 to 22 dt/ha. Farms, which entered to SAHO recently and have not established crop rotation system, were least prepared. Results of harvest will allow holding to continue the policy realization for check to prices for mass bread sorts.

Despite high level of processability of agricultural production on the enterprises of SAHO Group of Companies, meaning the utilization of modern high technology, as well as timely application of fertilizers and crop protection agents, unfavorable weather conditions could negatively affect on the harvest in some farmlands. Particularly, according to the data from Novosibirsk Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on the farmlands of SAHO in Kochkovskiy district during the period from April to September 2010 the precipitation depth ranged from 12.5% to 33% of the norm, in Ordynskiy district — 36%, in Altay Territory — 26% of the norm. Besides, in July 2010, during the grain vegetation, daily mean temperature was on 5 degrees below the norm.

Lack of moisture and low temperature, pointed out during the grain vegetation, significantly affected on the harvest volume. Seedling on the part of holding fields in Ordynskiy district were killed by the hailstorm and written off as damage from the disaster.
