OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2010. The National Company “KazMunayGas” in Almaty, jointly with Kazakhstan Press Club within the Third Media Kurultai - an annual conference on the development of Kazakhstan's mass media market, hold a round table dedicated to covering issues of economy and industry in the state language in the mass media.

The managing director - the deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas" Bolat Palymbetov, chief editors and journalists from leading national and regional print mass media, TV and radio journalists, teachers of journalism faculty of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi and other experts in the field of mass media were participated in the event.

While opening the round table meeting, Bolat Palymbetov emphasized that the National Company “KazMunayGas” gives priority to the cooperation with the kazakh-speaking and regional mass media.

- Of course, during one meeting it is impossible to solve all existing problems, therefore I hope that we will meet you more often - because only by joint efforts we can achieve the main thing – improving the quality of materials on economics, business, including oil and gas industry, published in the state language. We are happy to consider any interesting projects in this area. The National Company “KazMunayGas” is open to public and mass media - said Bolat Palymbetov.

During the meeting participants expressed their views on the kazakh-speaking press market and made suggestions to improve the quality of information materials that are published in the state language.

The chief editor of "Aikyn" newspaper Nurtore Zhusip told the participants on how to improve the skills of journalists, who write in the state language.

The theme was continued by the managing director of RTRK "Kazakhstan" Kaynar Olzhay, who raised the question of improving the kazakh-speaking content on television and radio.

On the development of such important areas as online journalism in the kazakh language and its future prospects told Aidos Sarym, the coordinator of Kazakhstan site www.abai.kz.

Other participants of the round table also shared their concerns and suggestions by addressing the issues of improving the competitiveness of the kazakh-speaking mass media.

As noted the participants in the end of the round table, conducting such events would contribute towards enhancing the quality of the materials in the kazakh language in the mass media and the formation of a competitive field of information through the development of a professional Kazakh-speaking journalism.
