OREANDA-NEWS. December 8, 2010. Total volume of industrial output of Uzbekistan made up 23.925 trillion soums in January-September 2010, which is up 8.3% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In the reporting period consumer goods were produced at the volume of 7,957 trillion soums ( plus 12% year-on-year), of which, 3.331 trillion soums ( plus 8.3% year-on-year) fell to share of food products and 4,646 trillion soums ( plus 14.8% year-on-year) – non-food products.

The committee said that the largest share in industrial output of Uzbekistan fell to share of fuel industry (19.5% from total volume), machinery and metal processing (16.4%), light industry (12.3%) and food industry (12.3%).

At the same time, the share of fuel industry decreased by 1.7 percentage point, while share of machinery and metal processing grew by 0.5 percentage point, light industry by 1 percentage point and food industry by 0.9 percentage point.
