OREANDA-NEWS. December 8, 2010. CROC was recently recognized as ‘Implementation Partner of the Year’ by EMC for its creation and further development of the EMC Documentum-based document management system for the government of the Perm Territory—an area of approximately 62,000 sq. miles located at the foothills of the Ural Mountains in Russia. The award ceremony was held during the EMC Momentum Europe 2010 partner conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

Alexey Dobrovolsky, Software Development Director at CROC, is excited about this accomplishment: “Although it no longer seems surprising that the system we created is recognized as the most innovative and large-scale in Russia, we never imagined that it would be recognized as such worldwide. It is a huge achievement for the dozens of CROC professionals who created the system, as well as the customer’s project members, and the system is now rapidly growing in terms of both number of users and functionality. We are currently engaged in the creation of a unified industry document management system for the Russian nuclear industry. The project scale is ten times larger than that for the government of the Perm Territory, and over the next two years the number of users of the system will reach 50,000.”

“Together with CROC, we designed and deployed the EMC Documentum-based document management system, which today has no significant competitors in Russia,” noted Makar German, Head of the Perm Territory Government Office. “Our next step is to develop the system within the local authority offices in order to provide e-government services. Moreover, we have already integrated our document management system with streetjournal.org where anyone can make a post. The post is immediately available to the relevant officer in the form of a formal citizen statement within the document management system where its processing can be tracked. Thus far, the website has helped approximately 500 citizens who now have their statements registered in the document management system.”

“The seven partners we honored have all demonstrated superior excellence, quality and service over the last year to meet the ongoing demands of their customers,” said Chris McLaughlin, Vice President of Channel Sales and Alliances, Information Intelligence Group, a division of EMC. “We are pleased to present them with these awards and look forward to continuing our successful relationship.”
