OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2010. OJSC KAMAZ and Leasing Company KAMAZ are the laureates of the National Award of Russia “Company of the Year” for 2010.

Yesterday, the award presentation ceremony for the winners of this annual contest which has been held since 2001 took place in the Column Hall of the House of the Unions, Moscow. KAMAZ received a diploma and a commemorative sign in the nomination “For Contribution to Development of the Country’s Automobile Industry”, and Leasing Company KAMAZ won in the nomination “For Financial Reliability and Stability in the Market of Leasing Services”.

“Russia’s automobile industry is emerging form the crisis, and KAMAZ has achieved the best growth results,” says the company’s presentation. “For 10 months of 2010, the company has sold almost by 30% more marketable products against the same period of 2009. The company’s share in Russia’s market in the segment of over 14 t GVW trucks now exceeds 50%. KAMAZ almost doubled its share in the segment of 8-14 t GVW trucks as compared with the pre-crisis level – to 14%. The company has got over the crisis, and now it is quickly developing further.”

The Company of the Year is considered the most important Russian award. Since 2002 it has been presented under the auspices of the RF Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. Its laureates are given the status of the first-priority enterprise for implementation of investment projects. The expert jury includes famous politicians, successful businessmen, public figures, scientists.
