OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2010. The Moscow Khamovnichesky Court has returned a verdict in favor of Svyazinvest in a lawsuit filed by the former general director of the company Evgeny Yurchenko.

The court, after assessing Yurchenko’s claim, rejected his motion to reinstate him to his position as the General Director of Svyazinvest.

Yurchenko tendered his resignation as the General Director of Svyazinvest on September 9, 2010.  The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Svyazinvest and Telecommunications Minister Igor Schegolev accepted his resignation and sent a draft directive to the government on appointing Vice President of Rostelecom Vadim Semenov as the Vadim Semenov.

On October 1, 2010 the shareholders of Svyazinvest approved the resignation of Evgeny Yurchenko and appointed Vadim Semenov as head of the company.  The decision on both of these issues was approved unanimously.
