OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2010. The group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred 1.7 mln rubles for welfare assistance to the veterans of the port in the fourth quarter of 2010. In particular the group of companies supports heroes of the anniversaries and active members of the Veteran’s Council. 

Each quarter former port workers receive bonuses and various payments dedicated to public holidays, special assistance is rendered to the veterans who served during war time and survived during the Siege of Leningrad.

According to preliminary data 5.9 mln rubles were transferred for the support of the port veterans in 2010.

At the present day the number of personnel in the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” amounts to 3.5 thousand people.  Target funds for the social support of the employees are created in the group of companies. 1% of the salary fund is transferred to the target funds.

Company supports the Council of the Veterans of the Port, which has been working over 26 years. Each quarter the veterans receive welfare assistance. In 2009 5.6 mln rubles were transferred for these purposes.
