OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. The ticket sales for aeroexpress through an automated distribution system (ARS) Sirena-Travel was launched. About 400 air service agencies in Russia and the CIS countries can get connected to the new service on railway transportation forming a terminal network of 16 000 consoles.

Ticket sales of aeroexpress through the leading Russian distribution system Sirena-Travel is now available due to signing a cooperation agreement between Aeroexpress LLC and Sirena-Travel JSC.

Now agents selling air tickets through ARS Sirena-Travel will also be able to register electronic tickets to aeroexpress electric trains with enhanced comfort running between the Moscow centre and major capital airports – Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo.

It was possible to buy an aeroexpress ticket through an automated distribution system earlier. Aeroexpress Company has already gained some experience in working with such systems as ‘Sputnik’ and ‘Sabre’. Cooperation with Sirena-Travel JSC is the next step in developing the Aeroexpress LLC distribution network for passengers’ convenience.

Today, when booking a railway ticket through ARS Sirena-Travel the passenger gets a full-fledged electronic itinerary receipt with a two-dimensional bar-code. Besides, there is no need for additional travel formalities in “Aeroexpress” booking offices (innovation made for the first time). With this itinerary receipt the passenger moves directly into the electric train carriage, where he takes his seat in accordance with the ticket category.

The advantage of the project implemented together with Sirena-Travel JSC is the simplicity of operation through the system panel, the possibility for ticket issuance into all Aeroexpress carriage categories (economy or business class), issuance of children tickets and group booking (2 to 9 tickets per one booking).

In ARS Sirena-Travel Aeroexpress ticket issuance is carried out with the help of a special button on a toolbar. Choosing “Aeroexpress” option, the panel operator is able to work with a simple context menu containing travel parameters identification. All he has to do is to choose the travel date, direction, carriage category and the required number of tickets.

The panel operator prints out the generated itinerary receipt or sends it by e-mail to the customer’s address.

Detailed information about conditions and connection procedure to Aeroexpress ticket sales service is provided to all ARS Sirena-Travel agents through the integrated system of information notification.
