OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2010. The Belarusian Finance Ministry has prepared adjustments of the state budget with a deficit of 2% of GDP, First Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin told.

“The adjustments have been prepared. We plan to have a deficit of 2% of GDP,” Amarin said, adding that the draft document had not yet been sent to the president.

The budget deficit forecast for 2010 had originally been set at 1.5% of GDP, or 2.7 trillion rubles.

Belarus’ Finance Ministry posted a republican budget deficit of 2.089 trillion rubles, or 1.6% of GDP in January-October 2010. Republican budget revenues amounted to 24.298 trillion rubles in January-October, or 68.4% of the adjusted target for the whole year.
