OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2011. Sual, part of Rusal, has signed long-term power-supply agreements with TGK-5, TGK-6, TGK-7 and TGK-9. In particular, the contract with TGK-5 is for 694 MW, should be valid from 1 January 2014 till 31 December 2024, and was priced USD 21.63 mn.

The contract with TGK-6 is for 667.158 MW, should be valid from 1 January 2011 till 31 December 2024, and was priced USD 16.87 mn. TGK-7 should sell Sual 570.544 MW of electricity worth USD 16.03 mn; the contract should be valid from 1 January 2011 till 31 December 2022. On 1 October 2011 – 31 December 2025, Sual is to purchase 1378.8 MW of electricity from TGK-9 for USD 36.49 mn.

Supposedly, contractual obligations between Sual and each of the four named TGKs as of year-end 2011 should equal USD 721,250. Structures affiliated with the chairman of the Rusal BoD, Victor Vekselberg, control more than 30% in each of the aforementioned gencos.

It was previously reported that Rusal had also come into an accord with the Energy Ministry and had signed capacity-supply contracts, upon a condition that terms of the aforementioned contracts would be changed; however, it was not disclosed then how exactly they would be altered.
