OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2011. Rise in prices for dental services has been registered in Azerbaijan by the end of 2010.

State Statistics Committee’s chairman Arif Veliyev informs that in the past year prices for dental services in the country increased by 15.5%.

"We can assume that the rise in prices for dental services was caused by increase of prices for imported stomatological equipment and materials used in this sphere,” Veliyev commented the reasons for the rise in prices.

It was noted that growth in prices in general for health services amounted to 6.5%.

At present, the country is numbering 760 hospitals and 1,694 polyclinics, which employ 33,000 doctors and 63,500 paraprofessionals. There are 37 doctors and 71 paraprofessionals per every 10,000 residents of the country.
