OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2011. Tatfondbank confirmed the high level of data security in the course of processing, transmission, and storage of payment card holder data. PCI DSS Certification of Tatfondbank means maximum security of data protection and, hence, security of funds of the Bank’s clients, reported the press-centre of Tatfondbank.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) regulates the requirements of the leading international payment systems, including Visa and MasterCard, for card data security.

‘Tatfondbank has become the first among regional banks of the Republic of Tatarstan to confirm its full compliance with PCI DSS requirements. The fact that our Bank has been certified under this standard confirms once again the professional approach of Tatfondbank to data security issues and its high position in the bank card market of the Republic of Tatarstan’, said Radik Shaikhutdinov, Head of the Plastic Card Department of Tatfondbank.

Tatfondbank is the only credit institution in Tatarstan directly interacting and performing direct settlements with two major international payment systems, MasterCard and VISA. The total number of the Bank’s plastic cards exceeds 325 000, and its own service network includes over 240 ATMs. The partner programmes with a number of banks enable Tatfondbank’s customers to withdraw cash from over 1100 ATMs and terminals without commission.
