OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2011. Air Astana, the official air carrier of the 7th Asian Winter Games 2011, is ready to warmly welcome athletes and spectators to this prestigious sporting event in Kazakhstan between 31st January and 6th February 2011. Air Astana has organised a series of charter flights for participants/ organisers travelling to Astana and also added 14 additional flights between Almaty and Astana in order to meet increased passenger demand during the games. The airline will participate in opening and closing ceremonies of the Asian Games 2011 in Astana and Almaty respectively, reported the press-centre of Air Astana.

The logo of the Asian Winter Games and its mascot, Irbi the snow leopard will decorate the fuselage of Air Astana’s fleet and take the message of the games around the world.
