OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2011. Plants and production units of KAMAZ have completely executed a production plan for January.

In the first month of 2011 the automobile plant, KAMAZ’s finishing production department, produced over 2.5 thousand vehicle sets. This is the best start for the last three years, with performance almost half as much as in January 2010 and 2.4 times as much as in January 2009.

As a rule, automobile manufacturers can’t expect to fully utilize production capacities during the first two or three months of a calendar year because of “cyclicity” of customer demand for vehicles. It should be noted that the share of state orders for the Ministry of Defence and other military and policing branches is not so great as it was in 2010 or 2009 at the beginning of this year. in other words, in January and February KAMAZ produces vehicle sets for automobiles sold on a “free” market against ultimate customers’ orders.

KAMAZ-Diesel shipped 2,800 engines and power units to the mother assembly conveyor of KAMAZ and its other customers. Operators of KAMAZ trucks will receive spare parts to the tune of almost 0.55 billion roubles.

The mother assembly conveyor of the automobile plant produced 180 trucks or chassis a day. It will stick to this production rate in February too. There are reserves at KAMAZ’s plants and shops, but they can’t be used yet as the country’s truck market is currently being expanded too slowly after the crisis.
