OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2011. Gazprom Neft has completed its "New Year Miracle" charity campaign to help socially vulnerable children. The campaign was held at the Company's filling stations in 20 Russian regions between November 2010 and January 2011.

The "New Year Miracle" attracted around 100,000 motorists, who donated over 20 mln. roubles. These funds will be transferred to meet the needs of children at care facilities in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tyumen, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, and other cities. Overall, Gazprom Neft's campaign covered 23 Russian childcare facilities.

The Yaroslavl, Ivanovo and Nizhniy Novgorod regions, which were taking part in the campaign for the second consecutive year, showed the highest activity. They raised 3.5 mln. roubles, double last year's total.

Any motorist filling up at Gazprom Neft's filling stations could take part in the social campaign.

A percentage of the money spent by motorists on fuel was donated to children's homes, hospitals and boarding schools. Every participant could choose to earmark the donation specifically for children's medicines, clothes, shoes, sports goods, books or toys.

Gazprom Neft plans to stage the "New Year Miracle" charity campaign annually.
