OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. The total portfolio of UAB Ukio banko lizingas was 56 per cent above that of 2009 and exceeded LTL 362 million. In 2010 against 2009, the number of signed new agreements on consumer leasing of goods and services mounted 13 per cent and the amount of their financing went up 18 per cent, reported the press-centre of Ukio Banko.

“The second half-year of 2010 was particularly successful to Ukio banko lizingas as the volume of consumer leasing surged over 40 per cent compared to the respective half-year of 2009. This was a result of particularly active activities, a supply of services attractive to clients and abundance of campaigns held,” Mindaugas Valancius, managing director of Ukio banko lizingas, said.

According to the data of the Association of Lithuanian Banks, at the end of 2010 UAB Ukio banko lizingas held 39.2 per cent of the consumer leasing market. Last year, like in the preceding year, clients mainly used leasing for acquiring household appliances, computer equipment, video and audio equipment, furniture and building materials. In 2010, the average amount financed by consumer leasing did not change and was slightly above LTL 1,300.

“With a view to providing quality, rapid and reliable services to the clients we make every effort to stay competitive and offer more attractive borrowing prices than our rivals. This year, too, we will maintain active cooperation relations with retail chains, expand the number of points of provisions of services and collection of contributions, and offer attractive services and products to clients in order to meet client needs to the maximum extent,” Mr Valancius said.

In 2010, Ukio banko lizingas considerably expanded its network of contribution collection. Agreements were concluded with the retail chain MAXIMA and Perlas terminal. Currently Ukio banko lizingas clients can pay their contributions in over 3,300 points of sale and services and 556 bank divisions of Lithuania's seven banks.

Last year clients were offered another advantage – Ukio banko lizingas payment card MasterCard with a credit limit joined Senukai loyalty programme "Verta rinktis“. The cardholders receive points for their purchases which they can subsequently use to cover the major part of their purchases.

Last year Ukio banko lizingas clients showed an increasing interest in online shops. In 2010 against 2009, the number of such agreements increased by 2.6 times and the sales revenues nearly tripled. “We maintain that such a manner of purchasing will gain in still greater popularity in the future as it is greatly convenient for clients – they can study the products offered and their prices and acquire goods on a leasing basis without leaving their home,” Ukio banko lizingas managing director said.

UAB Ukio banko lizingas, a subsidiary of Ukio bankas, was founded in 1997. Ukio banko lizingas is one of the leading companies in the area of retail (consumer) leasing.
