OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov met with representatives of International Monetary Fund to complete the work in Ukraine.

During the negotiations the parties consider carefully the provisions of the Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policy of the Government of Ukraine, which is signed in the next revision of the program of cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF.

Mykola Azarov noted that the negotiations are held in a spirit of mutual understanding, trust and constructive accommodation. He emphasized that the results of the meeting is a compromise on most points of the Memorandum.

In turn, the Head of the IMF mission Thanos Arvanitis expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of the negotiations: "I think recent days we have made significant progress in negotiations and have been significantly advanced. We agreed on practically all questions we had."
