OREANDA-NEWS. February 16, 2011. DTEK, a vertically integrated energy holding in Ukraine, reported that the company extracted 19.2 mln mt of coal (up 8.7% y-o-y), produced 30.7 mln MWh of electricity (up 16.7% y-o-y) and transmitted 13.3 mln MWh of electricity.

Concorde Capital: the company was able to outperform overall coal extraction growth in Ukraine by 4pp thanks to more efficient mining equipment and operations. In its generation segment, DTEK’s growth beat the average of +11% among thermal power plants because of lower capacity utilization at Dniproenergo (UX: DNEN UK), which gives it the highest potential for output growth in 2011.
