OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2011. On April 27-29, 2011, Astana (Kazakhstan) will be hosting the 13th Kazakhstan International Food Exhibition InterFood Astana 2011.

The exhibition will take place in a new pavilion – a specialised exhibition complex, Korme. According to the organisers, ITECA LLP, this will significantly increase the exhibition area and improve the quality of servicing exhibitors and visitors. Around 100 companies from 10 countries are expected to take part in the exhibition.

InterFood Astana features an integration presentation of the food industry – from foodstuff to production technologies and equipment.

The extensive exhibition will demonstrate a broad range of foodstuff, drinks, ingredients, bread-making equipment, confectionery equipment, meat, vegetable and fruit processing equipment, canning equipment, refrigerating equipment, shop equipment, equipment for supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants, packing equipment and materials, dispensing, filling and bottling equipment and components, equipment, materials and services for labelling, printing, etc.

During its 12-year-long history, InterFood Astana has become a leading food and packaging exhibition in the northern and central regions of Kazakhstan. This is the best venue for business meetings with over 3,000 visitors: suppliers, manufacturers, dealers and influential professionals in the country’s food market. The exhibition will also be of interest for top managers of commercial chains, supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants.

The food exhibition has for a long time mirrored food stores and supermarkets of the national capital. As a rule, the food and drinks demonstrated at the exhibition show up on shop shelves after the exhibition.

In general, everyone will be able to find new technological solutions, research the market and set up good partnerships, which will eventually increase competitiveness of enterprises and products made.

The exhibition agenda will include a series of workshops, presentations and master classes. The professional food and drink tasting contest, Traditions of Quality, will become a notable event at the exhibition. The products presented will be evaluated by a professional jury chaired by Vice President of Kazakhstan Academy of Nutrition. The winners will have the right to use the medal logo when labelling their awarded products.

Thanks to its importance and broad coverage, the exhibition is traditionally supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan, Astana City Akimat, and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event is organised by the exhibition and conference organisers – ITE Group Plc (UK) and its partner in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, ITECA LLP.
